Adrian Curiel was born at Loma Linda Hospital and grew up in Grand Terrace, CA.  He was raised by a single mother, Karla Curiel, and an older brother Andrew.

Adrian played many sports as a child including soccer, baseball, and track & field. After his activites he would hang out with friends around the city of Redlands, CA, where it had seemed more like home to him. Adrian and Andrew attended Redlands High School as they shared one year together as a freshman and senior.

In the year 2009, as a freshman in high school, Adrian was diagnosed with a one-in-a-million form of cancer called Synovial Cell Sarcoma which attacked at the tissue and not bone level. Adrian was a very healthy child so this came as a shock to him and his family. Taken out of high school for two years,

Adrian had multiple chemotherapy treatments, radiation treatments and a tumor removal surgery.

When Adrian was 15,  the Make-a-Wish Foundation offered him a wish for anything he desired. Instead of treating himself, he chose to write a self-help/influencial book to help others in this situation. Not one book had been written by a teen going through a horrible event such as cancer, so

Adrian Curiel decided he wanted to make others feel comfortable if he/she would ever be diagnosed with a life threatening disease and would want them to relate to a person of their own age group.

By age 16, Adrian finished all chemo treatments, radiation treatments, and the tumor was successfully removed.

At 19, Adrian graduated from high school and began working at the luxury designer brand, ESCADA. As he absorbed more knowledge about the fashion industry and was transitioning into a young man, he continued the dream to publish the book he started writing three years ago but was not emotionally ready to release until now.

Finally, four years into remission, Adrian Curiel had his book In a Flash published.
